Peak Protectors are volunteers who engage trail and backcountry users of our beautiful valley - locals and visitors alike - in friendly conversations about the 10 Mountain Manners and about how to be responsible stewards of this incredible natural resource.
By raising awareness and fostering polite, respectful discourse, we're shifting user behavior and creating a friendlier vibe around how we approach each other when we're using our Public Lands. They are "Public Lands", and we all have the right and responsibility to share and protect them!
Peak Protectors incorporate their environmental outreach and service into the hikes and bike rides they would normally take, so volunteering can fit into everyone's schedule.
We're always looking for folks who like to hike and bike, who know a bit about stewardship or who want to, and who enjoy chatting with trail and backcountry users.
