Mountain Manners partners with our sponsoring organization, Coldharbour Institute in Gunnison, to promote exemplary land management practices. We are a team of outdoor enthusiasts who want to help others lessen their impacts on trails and in the backcountry.
What We Do
Our mission is to help trail and backcountry users understand how they can be good outdoor stewards and we do it by being friendly and respectful.
The Mountain Manners Stewardship Program educates visitors to the Gunnison Valley about environmental stewardship and responsible outdoor etiquette. Our volunteer team of “Peak Protectors” spends time at trailheads and on trails sharing good info and good vibes with our visitors.
